Introduction

Many universities have set up Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) to make sure they provide the best education. Khyber Medical University has a plan for all the colleges it’s connected to, like Jinnah Medical College (JMC) in Peshawar. This plan aims to boost education standards and quality, following the rules from the Higher Education Commission and other regulatory bodies in the country
At Jinnah Medical College (JMC) Peshawar, the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) started in 2022, officially approved by the Principal – JMC. This move followed the guidelines of the Quality Assurance Agency from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), as directed by Khyber Medical University (the parent university).

Welcome to the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Jinnah Medical College (JMC) Peshawar. I am honored to lead a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to improving the quality of education and academic processes at our institution.

At JMC, our QEC’s goal is to continuously improve every aspect of our education and the professional life of our graduates, such as doctors and health professionals. We work hard to maintain and even surpass high academic standards, following national and international quality assurance guidelines. Through ongoing assessment, planning, innovation, and initiatives, we aim to provide a better educational experience for our students.

Success Stories

A proud alumnus of Jinnah Medical College, Peshawar, achieved a Gold Medal in Biochemistry during his 2nd Year Professional Examinations. He expanded his horizons by participating in elective rotations at the Pulmonology unit of Agha Khan University, Karachi. In 2022, he successfully cleared his final professional examination with excellent grades and joined the Department of Biochemistry at Jinnah Medical College as a demonstrator.
Dr. Sheryar Alam Khan
Driven by a deep-seated desire to become the first doctor in her family, Wagma persevered through challenges to achieve her dream. As a graduate of Jinnah Medical College Peshawar, she currently serves as a first-year resident in the surgical ward at Hayatabad Medical Hospital. Embracing unwavering determination and guided by the support of her teachers and mentors, Wagma sets her sights on becoming a hepatobiliary surgeon in the future.
